The International Rugby Board has appointed IFM SMS to act as the official market intelligence agency for the tournament in New Zealand, which will run from September 9 to October 23. Under the terms of the agreement, IFM SMS will provide all of the official global media audience and sponsor exposure figures for the event as well as the consumer impact of the competition in the major rugby-playing nations.
“In line with other major events, IFM SMS will work in close collaboration with the rights-holding broadcasters and independent auditing agencies to assess the dedicated live, highlights and repeat programming audiences for the event across multi-media channels, including digital platforms such as online and mobile viewership,” read a statement from IFM SMS.
IFM SMS has also been recruited as the official media evaluation agency for the biennial Solheim Cup golf tournament, which will take place at Killeen Castle in Ireland from September 23-25. The agency has also announced a renewal of its partnership with the Football Association of Wales. IFM SMS has been signed up as the Association’s official research agency for the coming season and will provide insight and feedback from research conducted amongst the body’s membership, match attendees and Wales fans.
